Child Labor Laws, What?
This is Abigail helping mommy clean the cabinets yesterday! I showed her how to go up and down, she took the rag out of my hand and went to town. Too bad once she figures out that this really is work and not a fun game, my helper will be gone!!
30,000ft and Still BUSY!!!
We recently went home to Kansas in Feb to visit my dad and grandparents. Upon landing at KCI it was 7 degrees, no there is no typo there, I could see my breath in front of me while walking up the jetway. I guess I have become accustomed to the 50 degree Georgia winters. Anyhoo, John complained the entire flight to any passenger that would listen that he was promised a kid free nap on the plane and wasn't getting one, since he got in from a trip the night before at 11:00pm and we were on the 7:00am flight the next morning. But, who could resist a little poodle like that? This was Abigail's 4th time flying and she was a trooper as always. Hayden made himself at home, by frequenting the bathroom and sneaking to the front of the plane to request more Coke and coloring pages. Thank goodness daddy is an employee or they probably wouldn't give the boys such free reign. Ethan enjoyed his flight munchin' on plane crackers and watching Open Season. I don't know why John complained so much I found time for a nap!!

Welcome to Cyber Gilbert's
Ok, I saw a friend of mine had this really neat blog that she posted pictures and what not to. So I thought hey, I don't have much to do during the day with three kids and a husband so why not add one more thing to my life of, "Do I really have time for this?" Really, I was thinking of the grandparents and how much they miss out on the day to day things that our crazy bunch does. I think this will be a good way to check in on us and see what's happening.
So for the first of many posts to come I guess I can share with you the lastest and greatest from Mr. Ethan Michael. A couple of days ago we dropped Hayden off at school and on the way home my inquisitive 3 year old hit me with this question.
"Mom, who's in us?" "What?" I said. Ethan fired back, "Who's in us?" Slightly confused by the question I answered, "Well honey, God is on our hearts and he is with us each day to guide us." Completely frustrated now Ethan grinds out through his teeth, "No! Who remote controls us?" I completely lost it. What 3 year old would think of such a thing? At times, believe me, I wish I did have a remote control for him, it would spend a lot of time in the off position. This one we will defintely have to watch. Alright, I will try to figure out how to post pictures on this thing. Wish me luck!!
