Georgia Tech Saturday

Saturday, after an excurtiating, but awesome 3 mile run with Val on the hilly Peachtree City golf cart paths, John and I headed in to downtown Atlanta for the GT game.
My chauffer
We met up with Nathan (another GT alum) and Kristi for some tailgating. We had some great grilled steaks and awesome cookies. The guys had fun playing the concrete version of horseshoes, which can really only be called big people bean bag toss into a nice wooden structure colorfully represented by the GT colors. The girls had a good time talking about babies and the guys of course. I must say there is nothing more fun than tailgating with a bunch of GT fans. Down in South GA you don't see to many Tech fans, everyone cheers for UGA, Florida or FSU. Of course we detest all except Florida, they are ok. Needless to say, we were in pure bliss. It was so nice to know our children aren't the only Tech kids out there. We can't wait to go back. John is definitely going to the Miami game in Nov. If we can get a sitter since it is a Thursday night game, I will go too. Any volunteers?

Big party FOUL!!!
This bottle was practically full. Kristi and another girl were taking the table cloth of the table and somehow this bottle, that wasn't even on the table cloth, fell right on the ground. Everyone within a 10 miles radius cried AAAAHHHH simultaneously. It was hysterical! Kristi felt so bad, but it really wasn't her fault. The table was on a bit on an incline and the wind was blowing. The boys should have taking better care of their bottle.
Ever seen a grown man cry?

That sure is a purty flag
We played Gardner Webb, not a real big name, but they had some big boys! The game was a lot closer than it should have been, but our third string quarterback did play the entire game. We were saving Nesbitt for next Saturday against Clemson. Our defense did show up and did their thing. It was a real nail biter and we had a few bogus call, but what do you do? At least they pulled it off GT 10 vs. GW 7

Johns good friend Paul and his wife Janelle also met us at the game. It was so good to see them again and we had such a great time. Afterwards we went out to dinner at Gordon Biersch on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. I had the best sesame crusted seared tuna EVER!!!!!! It was absolutely outstanding. I also had a mini taster of chocolate peanut bitter pie for dessert. OMG!!!! it was soooooo yummy, there is no way I could have eaten an entire piece.

We don't mind cheering for the Gators at all, ESPECIALLY if they are playing FSU. We REALLY HATE UGA!!!!!

Gordon Biersch is the best place in the world to eat! I have never had anything even mildly bad there! Looks like you had a great weekend!
