Happy Halloween!

Another Halloween has come and gone. This year was a little more special because, Papa and Grandma were here. My parents came in Thursday afternoon and spent the weekend. We spent almost the entire day Friday at the kids' school doing projects, eating lunch, and having recess! That evening it was time for the costumes to come out, the trick-or-treating to commence, and the Neighborhood party to kick off in full swing! This year it was a Star Wars theme, like ya'll didn't already know! Ethan was Anakin Skywalker, Hayden was Captain Rex the Clone Wars Trooper Commander, and of course or GORGEOUS little Princess.

Abigail walked most of the time, until her prince showed up with his carriage(wagon) and swept her off her feet!

The Neighborhood Crew cleaned up again.

After the trick-or-treating, we went to the party. The kids had a ball. They did the hayride, bouncehouse, food, bonfire, candy, etc...you name it they had it!!!!

Short & Sassy

Yep, I finally got some kahunas and cut my hair. I have been wanting to go a lot shorter for a while now, but was very nervous! Today, I threw caution to the wind and told my stylist to have at it! She did a FAB job with the cut and the color. I love it! The back is shorter than the front, (it barley touches my collar)she calls my long pieces in the front my "drama pieces". She is crazy!

Lego Star Wars

Well Hayden saved up his birthday money and made a big purchase. I am not even going to tell you how ridiculously expensive this thing was, but it was his money so oh well! We did try to talk him into a less expensive one, but he was not having it. This thing contains over 1000 pieces and says it is for ages 9-14, yeah right. They obviously haven't met Hayden. He did all the work himself. We helped him sort everything into separate bags by colors and then he was off. Occasionally he would ask for help on finding a piece, but he kept his head down and followed the directions to a tee. It took about a week to put it all together, simply because of school and soccer. We are so proud of him, he even made five bucks off of it. John made him deal that if he would build the entire thing by himself with no help he would give him 5 dollars. I don't think dad thought he was going to have to pay up, he thought Hayden would be calling on mom to finish it. He wouldn't let me near it!

He was so excited and keeps telling us how cool it is!

He is already eyeing another big Lego Star Wars set for Christmas, tune in later to see what he gets!

Georgia Tech Saturday

Saturday, after an excurtiating, but awesome 3 mile run with Val on the hilly Peachtree City golf cart paths, John and I headed in to downtown Atlanta for the GT game.
My chauffer
We met up with Nathan (another GT alum) and Kristi for some tailgating. We had some great grilled steaks and awesome cookies. The guys had fun playing the concrete version of horseshoes, which can really only be called big people bean bag toss into a nice wooden structure colorfully represented by the GT colors. The girls had a good time talking about babies and the guys of course. I must say there is nothing more fun than tailgating with a bunch of GT fans. Down in South GA you don't see to many Tech fans, everyone cheers for UGA, Florida or FSU. Of course we detest all except Florida, they are ok. Needless to say, we were in pure bliss. It was so nice to know our children aren't the only Tech kids out there. We can't wait to go back. John is definitely going to the Miami game in Nov. If we can get a sitter since it is a Thursday night game, I will go too. Any volunteers?

Big party FOUL!!!
This bottle was practically full. Kristi and another girl were taking the table cloth of the table and somehow this bottle, that wasn't even on the table cloth, fell right on the ground. Everyone within a 10 miles radius cried AAAAHHHH simultaneously. It was hysterical! Kristi felt so bad, but it really wasn't her fault. The table was on a bit on an incline and the wind was blowing. The boys should have taking better care of their bottle.
Ever seen a grown man cry?

That sure is a purty flag
We played Gardner Webb, not a real big name, but they had some big boys! The game was a lot closer than it should have been, but our third string quarterback did play the entire game. We were saving Nesbitt for next Saturday against Clemson. Our defense did show up and did their thing. It was a real nail biter and we had a few bogus call, but what do you do? At least they pulled it off GT 10 vs. GW 7

Johns good friend Paul and his wife Janelle also met us at the game. It was so good to see them again and we had such a great time. Afterwards we went out to dinner at Gordon Biersch on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. I had the best sesame crusted seared tuna EVER!!!!!! It was absolutely outstanding. I also had a mini taster of chocolate peanut bitter pie for dessert. OMG!!!! it was soooooo yummy, there is no way I could have eaten an entire piece.

Friday Night with the Gilberts, Greens, and Hedges!

Friday we went to Newnan GA and met Johns sister Cindy, her husband Mark, their son Nathan and his wife Kristi, John's mom, John's other sister Val and her man Darryl, and her son John Dayton for dinner at a scrumptious barbecue place. We had a good dinner and a blast visiting. After dinner we went back to Kristi and Nathan's house for dessert. We had cheesecake, cookies, and ice cream. The kids were in heaven. It was so great to see everyone and we even got to see their wedding pictures. They were married last Dec and Hayden was their ring bearer, he was so cute!
