Turkey Day in FREEZING COLD Kansas!

We decided to head to Kansas for T-Day to visit my grandma, who is doing well by the way, and the rest of my fam on my mom's side. We had an absolute house full and guess who got stuck cooking the enitre Thanksgiving Day dinner??? Yep, you guessed it....ME! My mom and aunt Regina were in the kitchen too, doing what I am still not sure. Well, I guess Regina did make two lemon meringue pies and my mom made a white pecan cheesecake and pistacchio salad, and the men watched the ham cook. I however, cooked the sweet potato casserole, greenbean casserole, hashbrown casserole, scalloped potatoes, fruit plate, corn, deviled eggs, the rolls, and two chocolate pies. This might not sound like your traditional turkey day dinner, but they did the big dinner on Friday with the noodles, stuffing, potatoes, turkey, etc., because one of my moms brothers couldn't make it in until then. We had to leave on Friday, more flights were open then. The weather was soooo cold when we were there. Thanksgiving morning it was 28 degrees at 7:30am My crazy Uncle Nick and I went for a 2 mile run, my legs were frozen by the time we returned, but we had a blast. Friday morning when we left to head back to the airport it was 18 degrees. Hayden was so amazed that he could his breath!

Wow!! I can't get over all the Christmas decorations in that house. That is one thing I wish I had more of. I guess I'll be finding myself at Target the day after to buy up the store and all the holiday goodies!!
